This interactive workshop is designed to help you shift your perspective, build confidence, and harness the power of progress—one small win at a time.  Participants will learn strategies to implement in the classroom to support students and how to impact your own personal wins.  Let’s start this school year celebrating progress, fueling purpose, and moving forward.

In a world where external achievements often overshadow personal growth, fostering students' inner strength and social emotional skills is paramount. This interactive session delves into the principles of Inner Excellence as outlined by Jim Murphy, offering educators practical tools to nurture these qualities in students.  We will explore strategies to make our students better learners and us better teachers.

This session will equip educators with strategies to integrate Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) in tech-driven classrooms. Participants will learn to create digital SEL resources using tools like Canva to support students' emotional awareness and self-regulation. Teachers will gain practical skills to address the challenges of the digital generation, including attention issues and social media influence. The session includes hands-on activities, peer collaboration, and real-world applications to ensure educators can apply these tools effectively in their classrooms.

This presentation will explore effective Social Emotional Learning (SEL) activities tailored for the World Language classroom. Participants will discover practical strategies to integrate SEL into language lessons, fostering emotional awareness, empathy, and communication skills in students.

Join us for an engaging, trauma-informed, culturally responsive session focused on bridging the gap between student needs and adult expectations. This session will help staff better recognize and respond to the social, emotional, and cultural challenges that students face in urban schools. Participants will leave with practical strategies to foster stronger connections, support resilience, and promote academic success.

Join us for this session that highlights student voices with a panel representing all four HCS high schools. Learn from their experiences about what they face as a young person daily, their thoughts on belonging, what makes them feel like they matter, and their perspectives on staff-student connections.  This session will be facilitated by four dynamic educators who will guide you through the session and help you walk away with valuable insights.
