About me
Mrs. Ramirez is the Director of Language Programs at Hampton City Schools. With extensive experience in language education, she previously taught English as a Second Language in Newport News Public Schools and served as a Spanish Adjunct Instructor at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia. Her teaching career spans multiple states, including Kansas, Texas, and Virginia, where she has taught Spanish and English Language Arts. Additionally, she has taught English as a Foreign Language in Caracas, Venezuela.
Mrs. Ramirez holds an Educational Specialist Degree from Old Dominion University, a Master of Arts in Spanish Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney where she was honored as the commencement speaker at her 2020 graduation, and a Master of Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Grand Canyon University. She also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education with a major in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Simon Rodriguez University in Caracas, Venezuela.
