Sonya Gordon is a seasoned educator and passionate literacy advocate with over 31 years of experience in the field of education. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication with a Minor in Sociology from Pine Manor College, as well as a Master’s degree in Education and an Education Specialist (Ed.S) degree in Educational Leadership from Cambridge College. Sonya has served across all levels of K–12 education—as an ELA Teacher, READ 180 Educator, Reading Coach, Literacy Support Specialist, Mentor Leader, and Professional Development Presenter. Her expertise in literacy development and instructional coaching has made her a trusted leader among peers and a transformative figure in student achievement. In addition to her work in schools, Sonya is also a children’s book publisher on Amazon, using her voice to inspire young readers beyond the classroom. She enjoys traveling, cooking, singing, and spending quality time with her family—pursuits that reflect her joyful spirit and well-rounded approach to life.
